MNTV CALL FOR ENTRIESMNTV is seeking Minnesota-produced short films for inclusion in MNTV, a three-part series of short films made by Minnesota media artists and aired on Twin Cities Public Television (TPT). IFP Minnesota, TPT, Walker Art Center, and Intermedia Arts have teamed up to produce the next season of MNTV, to be broadcast in Fall/Winter 2008. Entries will be judged on their production quality, craft, originality, concept, diversity, and suitability for television. A licensing fee for limited television broadcast ranging from $500 to $1,000 will be paid to the winning artists. Works must have a running time of no longer than 40 minutes. There is no minimum length. Artists must have created the work since January 1, 2006, and resided in the state of Minnesota at the time the submitted work was produced. Music videos are eligible if they were not produced as a work for hire. You may NOT submit trailers, industrial, corporate and commercial films and videos, films and videos produced as works for hire, works in progress, and personal demo reels. If you are a full-time student at the time of the submission deadline, you are not eligible to apply. Submitted works that were completed through a film program may be submitted; however, at the time of submission, the filmmaker cannot be a full-time student.
